Montserrat Mesalles’ proposal is very original and interesting. Her work is characterized by an amalgam of elements that highlight the particular creative capacity of the artist, specially her creative sensibility to work with industrial waste.
Her works are constructions particular in their materials and resemantization that stand out due to their sculptural character and tridimensionality and induce the viewer to reflect and think. Her work of comic characters and cartoons transports the viewer to the game, and the ludic, so present in our lives during and after our childhood. She invites the viewers to question internally with her collection “All Miracles,” where she proposes a reinterpretation for the misinterpretation of the function of religious images.
In her work we see art and creation in those objects in which the majority of the population, artists or non-artists, do not even notice. Montserrat combines her creative capacity with her particular view of the world ,and in that way shares with us unique pieces, which transcend frontiers in a broad concept of art, with energy and strength to stand firm in space.

La propuesta de Montserrat Mesalles es muy particular e interesante. Su obra se caracteriza por una amalgama de elementos, donde destaca la particular capacidad creativa de la artista; y especialmente su sensibilidad para crear partiendo de materiales de desecho, donde impera el metal de segunda mano proveniente de la industria.
Sus trabajos son construcciones particulares en su materialidad y su resemantización, que destacan por su tridimensionalidad y carácter escultórico y que nos conducen a la reflexión. Sus obras de personajes cómicos o de cuentos nos remiten en primer lugar al juego, a lo lúdico, tan presente en nuestras vidas, durante y después de la niñez. En sus obras donde plantea una reinterpretación por la tergiversación de la función de las imágenes religiosas, invita a los ciudadanos a cuestionarse internamente.
En su trabajo vemos arte y creación en aquellos objetos en que la mayoría de la gente, artistas o no artistas, no fijan la mirada. Montserrat conjuga su capacidad creadora con su particular visión de mundo y así nos comparte obras distintas, que trascienden fronteras, todas en un concepto amplio del arte, con ímpetu para ubicarse en el espacio.
